Safety and Safeguarding

In Scouts the safety of our members is our top priority.

If you have any questions please reach out to the Section Leader team or our Group Lead Volunteers.

If you wish to contact The Scouts HQ Safeguarding team directly, you can find their details on this page of The Scouts website: Keeping children and young people safe.

Most of our leader roles require our volunteers to undertake a First Response course, delivered within the Scouts training programme.

Safety training is provided to all adults in Scouting, so everyone understands their responsibilities as a member of Scouts.

Safeguarding training is provided to all adults in Scouting.
This training provides our volunteers with an understanding of safeguarding practice and responsibilities to keep everyone safe.
