International Scouting – World Scout Jamborees / World Scout Moots
Once you attend a World Scouting event, such as the World Scout Jamboree or World Scout Moot, you really appreciate the scale of World Scouting. These events are a great way to showcase how Scouting is truly international!
Bringing Scouts from all around the world together, shows how Scouting is a true world-wide force for peace. We even have more countries and territories attending the World Scout Jamboree than attend the Olympics!
Having the chance to attend one of these events does come with a financial cost, however, our past participants have fundraised thousands of pounds to attend previous Jamborees and Moots. If you are willing to organise fundraising activities, the cost of the event should not be a barrier to attendance.
There’s nothing to lose in just applying to be a part of the jamboree contingent!

I don’t think any of us who got a place really thought that we would, just give it a go and see what happens!
World Scout Jamborees
World Scout Jamborees and World Scout Moots are events held by The World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM).
World Scout Jamborees are held every 4 years and are organised by the Host Country. Recent Jamborees have had between 40,000 and 45,000 Scouts from over the world. Participants must be aged 14 to 17 years old at the time of the event. The next event, the 26th World Scout Jamboree is being held in Poland in 2027.
World Scout Moots
World Scout Moots are smaller events for participants aged 18 to 24 years old at the time of the event. Moots are held every 4 years, with the next event, the 17th World Scout Moot held in Taiwan in 2029.
World Scout Jamboree Experiences

I would encourage everyone who is eligible to give it a go, from the training camps to the jamboree camp itself, it really is a blast.

Going to an amazing new place with tens of thousands of other scouts from all over the world, getting to exchange cultures and form friendships, it really allows you to see that scouting is so so much more than just 4th Golcar!
