Two teams from Golcar entered the District Cooking Competition at Newsome Scout HQ on Sunday 7th February.
It was a ‘Ready, Steady, Cook’ style competition with a bag of mystery ingredients being provided to each team at the start of the event.
Harry and Jamie had a Chinese theme with a dragon table decoration and chop sticks. Their menu was chicken soup, stir fry with rice and fruit salad. The judges were impressed and awarded them third place.
Norah and Callum went for a valentine themed meal with hearts and flowers on the table. Their menu was also soup, stir fry with rice and pancakes for desert. The judges were even more impressed with them and awarded them first place!
A massive well done to both teams.
