Wrapping up 2011 - 28/12/2011

Well, what can I say! 2011 has been a fun-filled year packed with adventure and new challenges. I've only been part of the section since half way through the year & I've definately enjoyed it!

Updates have been a little lapse the latter few months so I wanted to bring you all back up to speed about what we've been up to!

We finished off September with our Piratey Themed Camp at Blackhills Campsite which you can read about here.

We kicked off October with a special visit from Scout Leader Daniel who came to speak to us about his visit to the Sweden Jamboree in Summer 2011. We also had 2 evenings where we learnt about Uganda to prepair for our Group International Party. Be sure to read the article from the Party and check out the pictures. To end the month we celebrated halloween with a great party where everybody was in costume! Have a look at everybodies great costumes.

In November, to celebrate Bonfire Night, we made some Edible Fireworks! Intrigued? Take a look at the pictures of that evening. We also spent time preparing our adaptation of A Christmas Carol for the 4th Golcar Scout Group Christmas Show! For people who weren't in the play, the rest of the troop scrubbed up on their mapping skills!

December brought about many Christmas Crafts. One week we made Christmas Cards for our families, the following week we made Christmas Decorations. Finally, to end the fantastic year we had a big party!

I hope everybody had a good Christmas and has a happy New Year.
