End of Year Show - 24/12/2011
On Saturday 3rd December, the group celebrated the end of its 60th anniversary by putting on a group show.
Each section was involved, and the HQ was decked out with all the festivities.
The Beaver section performed a selection of campfire songs, as well as some of their favourite Christmas songs. Matthew even managed to light the fire by magic!
The Cubs performed their own unique version of Charles Dicken’s A Christmas Carol. With, Akela as Scrooge (who else could have played the part?!). This was very festive and now perfect time for an interval.
After the interval, the Scouts appeared and performed the Nativity. However, no ordinary Nativity, with a very Yorkshire sounding Angel Gabriel, and three, not so wise, wise men!
Finally the Explorers had a series of Sketches to perform, with some very strange Explorer Scouts, (including an unstable leader, and four Yorkshire Scouts).
The show was very good, with lots of laughter. A good time was had by all!
A perfect way to end the 60th Anniversary Celebrations.
