Uganda Night - 09/10/2011
As preparations for the Group International Night, the Beaver section looked at two different aspects of Uganda.
Firstly, Matthew explained to the Beavers a bit about Uganda and about Gidd’s who we met whilst in Switzerland! We then broke into two groups to do the activities.
Firstly we had a food tasting session on Foods that are grown or eaten in Uganda. We found out that many of the foods that we eat actually come from hot countries such as Uganda, so it wasn’t much of a surprise!
The second activity was learning about the language. We had to match up some correct phrases from Luganda (which is a common tribe language in Uganda) to England.
All the Beavers learnt lot’s and now can’t wait for the International Night to learn lots more about Uganda!
