Fitness Madness - 19/09/2011
September had a theme of Fitness, we've had the opportunity to do loads of different things.
It all started in Summer where we went Geocaching and to the Low Ropes & Cresta Run. 2 new outdoor activities that most of us hadn't tried before.
To follow up, some of us took part in the district Athletes Badge at the start of the month. This included multiple sections such as:
- Throwing a cricket ball
- 50m Sprint
- 50m Skipping
- Long Jump
- 6x10m Shuttle Run
- 1000m Run
Lots of people that attended successfully completed their badge and will be receiving it soon!
Later in the month we had another meeting about fitness. In the main hall we had a go at circuit training, activities included:
- Jogging on the spot
- Skipping
- Press-ups
- Sit Ups
- Hoola Hoop
After 15 minutes of continue circuit training we were all really tired! It's hard work!
Meanwhile, in the back room we had a discussion with Akela & Ricki about healthy diets and different types of exercise.
