RNLI - 19/09/2011

After a visit we had from the lifeboat people last year, we received some activities that we could do, so we decided to give them a go!

We opened by playing a game where we had ‘rescue’ cones from the ‘sea’! This showed how difficult it was for people to be rescued whilst at sea.

We then had two activities; one was to design a poster which promoted Safety at Sea. The best four are going to be sent to the RNLI as part as a competition.

The Second activity was a relay race, where Beavers had to put on a small amount of equipment that the lifeboat people have to wear. And then bounce a ball and learn to tie a reef knot!

It was a fun night, and we raised £25 for the RNLI by Beavers bringing in a donation.
