Golcar Lily Day - 25/07/2011
The theme of this years Golcar Lily Day was stories, so, during the opening ceremony we told the story of Golcar Scout Group. Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts were involved - some dressed in old uniforms.
It was a really nice sunny day and the village was very busy - there were stalls, a bouncy castle, archery, crossbows, a beer tent, local radio, entertainers and food. All the churches were open with musical entertainment and refreshments.
The Scout and Community Centre was full all day - there were art workshops, face painters, a clay potter, belly dancers and a may pole.
Another very successful Golcar Lily Day.
