Cubs learn all about First Aid - 25/07/2011
As an ongoing process of teaching the Cubs all about first aid we spent 2 evenings in July learning the basics.
The Cubs paired up and performed the recovery position on each other including pre-checks such as checking for any hazards in the area, ensuring the casuality was breathing and that there was no major bleeding or bone breaks!
Along with this they learn about what to do with Burns & Scalds, and had a go at spotting any potential hazards in an area!
All of this will go towards the Cubs gaining their Stage 1 and Stage 2 of the First Aid Staged badges!
