District Trip to Camelot - 03/07/2011
Saturday 2nd of July, the Beavers along with all the other Beavers in the district, had a day trip out to Camelot Theme Park.
We met bright and early, all ready for a fun filled day. We boarded the coaches, and we were just about to get on the motorway when the first cries of ‘are we nearly there yet?’ started to appear from Beavers! After several hundred ‘are we nearly there yet?’ we landed at the theme park, and set off for our adventure!
First stop was the crazy caterpillar rollercoaster!

Next was the Swinging Galleon! Where the Beavers became the Pirates of Sea! Most people loved this, one or two felt very sea sick afterwards though.
After Lunch we headed to the highlight of the day! The jousting. We were transformed to the middle ages! Sat in a huge arena, we watched the jousting match, to find out who would become King Arthur’s protectorate of the realm. A few close matches later, and a bit of cheating from the baddies it was Sir Lancelot who won and the crowd lifted the roof of the arena! This was without a doubt one of the highlights of the day!

After the Jousting match, we headed to the log flume. This was very fun, but unfortunately we ended up being very wet! Oh well, good job it was a warm day!

Our next adventure was a magical adventure. We went and watched Scoop the magician in his own magical show! It was very good, with lot of magical tricks. Sophie, was also lucky enough to play his assistant, and did a very good job.
It was nearly time to go home, but we had enough time to squeeze one more ride in, and so went on the dragon ride, which took us around the park, so we could have a quick look at the other exciting parts of the park.

Unfortunately it was time to go home, so we all boarded the coach after a really fun day! There were one of two tired beavers (and leaders) on the way home! But everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves!
