Fly a Plane Night - 03/07/2011
Beavers completed the requirements needed for the air activities award.
Part one was to make and decorate a model aeroplane. There were some very good, and some very interesting designs! A few would look very strange flying through the skies.
Part two was to discuss flying and modes of flying. So in our lodges, we sat down and had a discussion on flying. Finding out who had flown on a plane, where to, and whether they liked it or not. We also found out what it would be like to fly in a helicopter, unfortunately we could hire one to try!
Part Three was the fun part, and the time at which the hall could have almost been Manchester Airport. Beavers had to race their aeroplane to see which one flew the furthest. There were planes flying all over!
To complete the Badge, Beavers have to find out about a type of aeroplane! It was be interesting to see what they find out!
