Xtreme Monopoly 2011 - 12/06/2011
This year we entered one team in the County Xtreme Monopoly challenge.
We started our adventure at 8.30am at Golcar Scout Centre where we studied our map and got our wooden spoon.
Our challenge was to visit as many different locations on our monopoly board and take photographic evidence. To prove that all members of the team visited the location, and that we did this on the day, every photo had to contain the wooden spoon!
We headed to Huddersfield where we visited the university, had a picture with a police man and visited the Yorkshire Bank.
After running around Huddersfield we headed for the railway station and had to decide if we went to Wakefield, Halifax, Bradford or Leeds.
We boarded the train to Leeds and visited Dewsbury on the way to Leeds station. When we arrived in Leeds we visited the Royal Armouries, Leeds Cathedral and the Crown Courts.
The next train departing from Leeds was to Blackpool! Unfortunately we had to get off at Bradford where we visited Valley Parade.
During the day we had to collect a few items to take back to Bradley Wood, these included a postage stamp and a McDonalds straw!
We arrived at Bradley wood before the deadline where we got our monopoly board marked.
