Ice Cream Sundaes - 08/08/2010
The last night of Beavers for the summer, was filled with a variety of activities. With many Beavers going on holiday and lots saying they were going camping, we decided to help them know what to pack if they were going on a walk. We had a colony discussion and came up with ideas on what we should take with us. We thought it would be a good idea to take food, map, compass, and a drink with us. And decided that we would not need a teddy bear or an Xbox!
Last year the Beavers used their good turn trail money to sponsor a child. In our lodges we sat down together and wrote down some questions that we would like to ask the little girl that we sponsor to go to school! Linking to this, we sent our 2010 good turn trail, and again the Beavers have the summer to be kind and helpful and at the same time, earn money which will go towards a good cause!
The final activity was without doubt the most popular! We made ICE CREAM SUNDAES!!! Beavers piled their ice-creams with sauces and sprinkles, and before long they were gone!!!
A good final evening, and the Beavers are now on holiday. With many looking forward to our annual Beaver Camp at the end of August!
