Kandersteg Day one and two - 28/07/2010
It was finally time to depart for Kandersteg, after many months of planning and fundraising, we were on our way!

We departed Golcar at 10am Tuesday morning and headed towards Liverpool airport where we would be catching our Easyjet flight to Geneva.
We quickly got through check in, and headed towards customs and security. Some of the scouts got stopped at security due to their shoes setting the metal detectors off!
Next stop was Burger King! 38 Meals - the staff were going crazy!
Next stop Geneva!

Once we arrived in Geneva we collected our luggage and headed towards the exit. Our coach driver was waiting for us holding a sign for '4th Huddersfield Scouts'.
We arrived at Kandersteg International Scout Centre just after 20.30 (Local Time) after the three hour coach drive through Switzerland.
WOW! Our Building is ace!

In the evening we had a short walk in to Kandersteg village (about a mile away) and saw a shooting star!
Today we had many exciting challenges to complete, Green Chalet Trail, Campsite Trail and 'Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!'. All these activities and challenges go towards our Eco Adventure award, High Adventure award and the KISC Challenge.
This afternoon we went on a short walk around Kandersteg International Scout Centre and campsite.

Our first evening meal in the KISC dining hall was leak soup followed by chicken curry, rice and carrots! Nice!
This evening our entertainment was the International Scout DISCO!!!!!!!! Check back tomorrow for some interesting photos!
