November Update - 29/11/2009
November has been another busy month for all of us at Golcar.
Our first week back after half term saw us learn all about Remembrance Day and why we remember. We wrote prayers about why we remember and practised marching for parade. The Sunday following this we joined the rest of Golcar Scouts and attended Remembrance Day parade. We met in the church and listened to the service before marching down to the British legion in the rain.
The week after we had a joint meeting and had a village night walk. We met at HQ and walked around the village before ending up at Marios for a nice supper of Chips
On the 18th we did all things autumny we made lots of fun things out of autumn leaves and did some leaf rubbings as well as making leaf plates
The last week in November was the start of our Christmas makes. We all put our sewing heads on and sew a stocking together ready to hang above the fire for Santa to fill with Christmas goods.
On Saturday 28th we had a district day out. At 8.45 in the morning we all met in town and boarded on a bus and made out way to Sundown Park. We explored the theme park and had a go on the tractor rides and the Robin Hood train; at the end we made a special visit to the snow queen who gave us all a prezzie A fun day was had by everyone who went.
Into December now and we are starting our Christmas countdown getting ready for the festive season
