October Update At 4th Golcar Beavers - 03/11/2009
The end of September saw a number of Beavers attend Bradley Wood for the annual Beaver Fun Day. This year the theme was space and we had a day off fun filled activities. We made rockets flying saucers as well as the popular cresta run We finished the day with a campfire where all the Beavers saw their leaders singing and dancing all Beavers were amazed by this
The first meeting in October was the international party we learnt loads more facts about India such as writing in Hindi tasting spices and playing Kims game. We all danced like Bollywood dancers and tasted some traditional Indian food. A lot of fun was had by all.
On the 16th of October we had a joint meeting where we started our Christmas makes. Although this is very early we were potting plants ready for a Christmas present in December. We also played relay games and enjoyed using the big feet. The following week we continued with our international theme and learnt about Diwali the festival of light. We drew pictures and made candle holders.
Now we are all ready to start again after our half term break ready for lots more fun in November and December. Forthcoming events include: Remembrance Day parade Sundown Park in November and loads of Christmas fun in December.
