Bradley Wood Camp - 28/10/2009
The camp on the weekend of 16 18 October 2009 was aimed at the Outdoor and Outdoor Plus Challenge Badges.
A few of the older end Scouts spent all day Saturday on a giant pioneering project they built a bridge with a cargo net and monkey ropes across. They then had great fun playing on it.
The rest of the Scouts did a series of training bases including: Patrol Tents Wood Collecting Camp Gadgets Axe and Saw Training Fire Lighting Lamps and Stoves Menu Planning and Camp Site Layout.
In the evening we had wide games a quiz and talked around the camp fire.
On Sunday we did tracking and an observation exercise then decked the site and played more wide games.
At the end of the camp we invested eight new Scouts into the Troop which is a record for the most Scouts invested at once at Golcar.
